MRS. DIANE HELP!
I work for a local wireless company and we use a *Red Hat's version of Linux based SME Server four our outlook mail *server*. Last night we ran some updates on the server itself and this morning there are no Outlooks on anyone's system that is able to connect. Webmail on the same server is sending and receiving just fine. It is only outlook that is having the issue. The error code we are getting is this: Task Work email- Receiving reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server admin or ISP.
I have:
Edited the ports to what I have found as work arounds on other sites.
Disabled the firewalls in both AVG & Windows.
Ran registry cleaner/fixer Advanced Systemcare 6
Restarted all the machines.
Deleted email accounts and put them back in.
Disabled all the firewalls on the routers.
Restarted the ISP Business class Modems
Made sure the Server was in the DMZ.
Like I said Webmail for the company via the browser is working just fine thru the server. It is just Outlook..I should be heading to my truck soon and getting my shotgun. I will buy a whole new system tomorrow as this one might meet an untimely demise later on this evening.
Help would be greatly appreciated...less this mail server gets to reside with fishes.
Matthew.
