Unable to attach message as an attachment in outlook

Hi,

I'm not able to attach msg attachment in outlook when I'm sending to outbound. But it's working fine when I try to send locally and sending thru owa. I'm having that issue only with .msg attachment. The other attachment like word file, excel file are working fine.

May I know is there any idea to solve this issue or anyone else facing same issue?

what message format do you use? can you send them if you use plain text format?

Default format is HTML. Having same issue if I use plain text format as well.

Based on below article my exchange server is having issue with this scenario.

2) Outlook =>(via MAPI)=>Exchange=> SMTP (Gmail / Hotmail/Another Exchange Server)

When I tried to create new outlook profile with IMAP, msg attachments are able to send out.

Is there any ways I can correct this encoding issue on exchange server?

Ok, so you can attachment them but when the recipient gets them, the message is inlined rather than attached.

I don't know of a way to force them as attachments, short of zipping them and sending the zip file. No, its not quite the same, but if you need the attachments on the other end, its the only way.

I found that GFI anti-spam filter stripped the attachment. Updating to GFI latest build (20130226) solved the issue.
