Hi,
I am using Outlook 2010 v14 32bit client, on I believe Exchange 2003.
The company where I am has very draconian limits on mailbox sizes, and also on accessing mails remotely etc. But, rather oddly, they do allow rules to forward or redirect mails to an email address outside their core domain. Forwarding is not ideal, as all mails to my substitute external email address then come from my work address as a sender (and are forwarded) which requires a bit of manual editing on each email I wish to reply to. Redirecting would be much better as it appears in my external account as coming from the original sender, but alas it strips out any other recipient's addresses that the mail was either cc'd or sent to. This makes it tricky to partake in a group conversation over email.
I noticed that I could process a script in Outlook before redirecting - my question is, has anyone written a script to take the recipient's list of email addresses and add that to the email before the redirect? Ideally it would add them to the "Reply-to" field (although I guess the redirect might strip that too), or perhaps a custom header field that I could get my substitute external mail client to process? Or maybe even just chucking all those email addresses into a txt attachment appended to the email?
Does anyone know if this is possible? I have looked around quite a bit, but can't see anything - of course I may be framing the question poorly though!
Kind regards,
Mat
