I have created an Outlook.com EAS profile in Outlook 365 (2013). But unlike IMAP and POP profiles, I am unable to create a subfolder under Contacts to define a different contact list. How can I create another contacts list using an EAS profile?

The Outlook.com IMAP profile does support a Contacts subfolder as well as other POP account profiles. It's just the EAS profile that does not. I would really like to use EAS, but without a second contacts list, it's a show stopper for me. Thank you, Diane, for your quick response.

Does the second folder sync up to the server as contacts? It's my understanding the Outlook.com doesn't support more than one contacts folder.

Silly me... only mail folders sync up in an IMAP account. The contacts folders, while supported in IMAP, don't sync up. :) They are marked 'this computer only' (and we recommend using a local pst file instead so you don't lose them accidently).

Yes, it seems that Outlook.com supports only one Contacts list, regardless of the protocol used in the Outlook client account. I did review your forum entry on using a PST file to save the non-mail components, which I did. However, only the EAS account would not let me create a Contacts subfolder, probably because it wouldn't synced with Outlook.com. What I like about EAS is that it will sync all of the folders, whereas IMAP only syncs the mail. I guess I could merge the two contact lists into one by assigning a different category to the entries in each list and just sort them by category. But so far, the IMAP account seems to be working, and all of my other issues have been resolved. It's been a great learning experience thanks to all of the informative forum entries that you authored.

Using categories will work, about half, but for best results, you need to create groups online and assign the contacts to the groups - this is because Outlook.com uses Categories to identify groups and if you assign categories in Outlook, they don't sync up and will be removed if you edit the contact online.
