Inbox search, current folder, it's in there-but not found.

Using inbox search, with current folder selected.
Want to see all emails from @customerdomain.com

search string, "customerdomain", knowing there are several addresses in the inbox.
None are found.

"First name" @customerdomain is found.

After playing around, seems that contact addresses displayed in to and from fields
displayed as: "display name <name@customerdomain.com>"
Seems only the display name is found. what's in the <> is not.
A non contact address that shows as "name@customerdomain.com" is found.

Anyone figured out how to correct this?
 
Did you use From in the search query? (quotes are only necessary if you add .com)
from:"customerdomain"

Should work and find messages where the address contains their domain or where it's in the display name.
