SENT mail not reloading to top??

I search for an email in SENT to send my user an update (We have to copy header history, so I HAVE to do it this way).
When I send the new message, my search does not refresh to the newest message like it used to. (We migrated from an ON PREM Exchange server to Online 365- is THAT the only reason?)

Example so it makes sense:

I search for user STEVE in sent, it finds 5 STEVE messages, I grab the top/most recent, I reply to his message, then I need to grab the header history but THAT new message is NOT at the top of search (meaning search didn't refresh)… I then have to click SENT folder, which now highlights the same message, but waaaaay down in the normal order of things, so now I grab the scroll and head to the top..... I know it's a lot of little details.

We migrated from an ON PREM server to a CLOUD, but only to switch the HOME of the mailbox, NOT upgrade Outlook client.

Cannot reproduce on my Outlook 2016. Sent folder does refresh automatically, newly sent mail appears on top.
Maybe try hitting F5?

Are they not sorted by date?
 
Search doesn't always refresh (at least with Exchange accounts) - but for the best results, make sure 'When possible, display results as the query is typed' is enabled in Search options.

This is partly due to your sort order or arrangement. Outlook keeps the selected item selected - if the messages are in the same conversation and you used group by conversation, they should all group together.

And that's the weird part.. Prior to migration this worked flawlessly...
F5 doesn't work for me? But of note:
Filter= All Mail
Arrange By = Date
Sort = Newest on Top

When possible, display...... = checked already, no change.
And yes, they SHOULD group together, they did prior because it's absolutely part of the same thread..
