Yesterday I sent four messages to my wife. She has received probably 30-40 total emails based on those four messages. I had this problem once before. In both the previous case and the current case, the emails contained JPG attachments.
I was unable to delete the messages in the Outlook Outbox, even after I deleted the Comcast OST file, and Outlook rebuilt my Inbox and related folders.
In both cases, I solved this problem by going to Xfinity website and accessed email. I deleted the Outbox messages, Then suddenly those problem Outbox messages disappeared.
I'm sure that this issue is due to a bug in Xfinity email. In the past, I have actually written paper letters to Xfinity, on JFK Boulevard in Philadelphia to ask that bugs be fixed. I got responses denying there was a bug, but then a few weeks later the bug "mysteriously" disappeared.
I'm getting pretty disgusted this Xfinity. I have their Quadruple Play service. but the only service that is issue-free is Comcast Voice (VoIP) I am aware that "sometime soon" email service will be discontinued. Their Home Security service has lousy support and overcharges for replacement door/window sensors.
