I mistakenly deleted ALL of them (though had only intended to delete one). Now I would like to restore them AND the notes which they contained.

In reading comments on this problem, it seems that the deleted information is supposed to be in the deleted folder. It is not there.

Please help. This is the second time this has occurred and is wasting lots of my time. :(

Yes, it should be in the deleted items folder unless you used Shift+Delete. Sort by icon or use search - deleted appointments and contacts are often interspersed with other items and hard to find.

Do you have a backup copy of your data file? If the appointment is not in the deleted items folder, that will be the only way to recover.

No, I deleted the recurrence by using the delete icon at the top of the event. I took your advice and checked again (by searching icons) and saw 3 old ones I'd deleted but they were not the recurring ones so I am not sure where they actually go...

I also checked my Rubbish Bin (just to make sure) but -- no disc. :(

I typically do not make copies of my data file (duh!) but will in the future.

This time around, I will consider them lost.

Thank you for your help. It saved me a lot of unnecessary time/effort.

Because you refer to a rubbish bin... is this the Deleted items folder in outlook or the Recycle bin in Windows?

I actually tried them both (my Recycle Bin in Windows & Delete Folder in Outlooks) without any success. It's fine now. I've given up and just need to learn how to delete a recurring event without it deleting ALL of the past ones (including the notes). :)

Open the event from the day, week, month view and choose occurrence, not the series. You can delete from the view or by opening it and deleting. Doing this will create an exception.

Thanks Larry but what happens if I want to discontinue the series? Sometimes life changes and something I needed to be reminded up every week (usually a meeting -- completed later with meeting notes) is no longer necessary.

You'll have to export to Excel and import if you want to cancel an appointent and keep the notes and exceptions. When you export to excel (or CSV) format, it breaks the recurrences into individual appointments.

Why not try to use some recovery softwares to recover your deleted information?

There are some pst recovery tools are good at recovering pst file, such as Advanced Outlook Repair and so on, you may google advanced outlook repair, then you can find the tool.

These tools can help you to find your deleted information back.
