Change from exchange server to pop when I set up outlook wrong

Was setting up 2010 Prof Plus at the house and wasn't thinking and choose exchange server rather than pop server. Now have no way of going back and correcting. It will not connect to Outlook because I am on my home account which is pop so I never get a chance of going in and updating/editing my profile. I have uninstalled, deleted addit files, restored the computer to an earlier date, basically everything including visiting Microsoft store and no one can help without the offer of a large billing charge at the end.

Any suggestions or thoughts (besides I am stupid) are welcome:o
