Forcing HTML for replies in Outlook 2013

I often receive messages in plain-text format from people who don't mind receiving HTML messages, but when I reply to these messages, Big Brother Outlook 2013 won't allow me to change the reply type to HTML. This is frustrating because I haven't been able to find a way to twist Outlook's arm. The procedure described here (Always Reply Using HTML Format in Outlook - Slipstick Systems) doesn't seem to work with Outlook 2013 and the text area remains disabled.

I'm hoping that somebody will have a method that will allow me to be in control of the format I use.

Hi,

I am facing the same kind of problem. However in my case I am getting emails from some specific users in plain text format i have tried everything but it seems that it's not working. People in CC are getting the same email in HTML format, the only difference is they are using MAC.

Please let me know your thoughts about the same as it's very frustrating :mad:
 
It sounds like the html part is being removed or is getting corrupted, so only the plain text part is available. It could be happening on the server or when outlook downloads it. What antivirus do you use? Does it happen to new messages if you start in safe mode? (Messages already downloaded won't be fixed.)
