error in Outlook 2013 owner showing as ou=

Hi All

Wondering if you can help please, have a user when added either a new task or new calender entry it shows as

O=company name/OU=EXCHANGE ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=usersname.

Though when you send a task from this outlook to another outlook it shows up as the usersname, though when user views on own outlook account it provides the above information.

I went into account settings which showed users email address & our exchange server which is correct.

Is their a way I could edit the above information to show usersname.

that is the exchange x500 address and seeing it means the address is not resolving correctly. Close Outlook, delete the offline address book and redownload it. You can also try clearing the user's name from the autocomplete cache, or empty it completely.

Did you move mailboxes recently? That is a common cause of this sort of problem.

Thank you for kindly giving up your time & its a pleasure talking to someone who is very knowlegable as yourself.

Diane, sorry for asking but how would one delete the offline address book & download it & could you help me in clearing the users name in autocomplete cache.

paste %localappdata%\microsoft\outlook in the address bar of windows explorer, press enter. Deelete the address book folder.

To remove single addresses, select the name using the arrow keys then press Delete or click the x beside the name to delete it or use the Backspace key.

To remove all of the addresses from the autocomplete cache using the File, Options, Mail dialog, Empty Auto-complete List button.
