Contacting <Server Name and Path> for Information When Adding Attachments

Hi All

Have a strange problem when trying to add attachment to new email (Outlook 2010), When the user clicks the insert attachment button and then tries to navigate to a network drive they sometimes get the message 'Contacting <server name and Path> for information (it doesn't happen all the time), this then hangs outlook for a while. The only common factor is user's that have this message are CAD/CAM users running PTC Creo Parametric on there machines. When we look at the server for open files / paths for each user they have in excess of 140 at the time it happens.

Has anyone got any ideas as to where the problem might be as everything we have tried so far has not worked.
