Problem accessing events for folder "username" Server Threw Exception

Installed CPA. Using Outlook 2010. One particular user's calendar gives this error when his assistant (with Editor permissions to the calendar) tries to connect to it. Installed CPA on that user's computer and he gets the same error trying to access his own calendar through CPA. I can connect to his calendar in CPA w/o error but only view free/busy. Need tips on how to troubleshoot/fix this ASAP.
 
I'm assuming the user also uses Outlook 2010. (It supposed to work with 2013 32-bit, but is goofy.) It sounds like there might be a corrupt appointment on the calendar.

Can the user use it with other calendars? (Not sure it makes a difference, it sounds like the error comes up when its opened and reading the profile.)
