Gmail gone?

After a month I'm just now realizing that I'm not getting all my mail from Google. Let's be clear. I'm getting all of it to my gmail account, but SOME of it isn't getting downloaded to Outlook. It's just from a couple of senders. How can this be and how can I fix it?

Hi Diane, I'm using POP3 in Outlook 2007. No missing mail is found in my junk folder. I have a rule (and a folder) for it. It shows up in my Primary folder on Gmail but isn't downloaded to Outlook at all. As I said though, my other mail from that account IS being downloaded. I'm confused.

Have you checked in your Google account online to make sure there are no filters being applied which will make emails 'skip your inbox' ?

Now you're confusing me more. I have already stated that I am receiving all my mail at my Google account. As far as gmail is concerned, I'm OK. Are you saying that there are filters in gmail that will prohibit mail delivered to my Google Primary folder from being downloaded by Outlook?

Yes its possible. In your gmail account on the emails that are missing from outlook, can you see the 'inbox' label? Is there anything else to note about the 'labels' that is different on ones that reach Outlook and ones that do not?

I don't see anything offhand. You take a look> This is the email that's not getting through.

If you are using POP3, only mail in the Inbox is downloaded. If you are applying labels and archiving the messages in Gmail (removing from inbox), they won't be downloaded with POP3 (but would be with IMAP).

I would try disabling the rule in gmail and see if they are downloaded.

Diane, I haven't applied any rules in Gmail. The stuff that comes in the inbox ... comes. the stuff that doesn't ... doesn't. I don't even know how to set up Gmail with IMAP

Are the messages getting moved to the junk folder? Are you reading them from another device? (Outlook might not download read messages, but I think gmail has a setting that will fix that problem.)

When I go to my Gmail account, the specified email is in my inbox. I have a desktop and a laptop. The accounts and results are the same in both cases. I first read mail in Office and only occaisionally go to the site, which is why I didnrt notice this sooner.
