Setting up email on a new laptop.
Using the Outlook 2019 desktop version as have it as part of Office 2019. (And I'd rather not just use the gmail web interface)
I use gmail as the server to process the sending and receiving of emails but I use aliases as I want to use personal email accounts set up on a web domain that I own.
The receiving of (forwarded) emails works fine (having set up the gmail account on outlook using IMAP/SMTP) but I can't find any way of setting up emails to be sent from outlook with my personal email address rather than my gmail one.
Outlook doesn't seem to have either the concept of identities (that I have used previously in Thunderbird) or additional email addresses associated with an account that Mac Mail has.
I have tried the dummy method described on your website to set up an additional POP account just for sending, but I've not managed to get this to authenticate successfully. (And even if I did I think this would mean I would end up with two different mailboxes - as one would be POP and the other would be IMAP)
Any ideas?
