I'm having the same issue reported here, from 2019:

Diane suggested checking the Google account for security warnings - I did, and there are none. "Microsoft apps and services" are authorized to:
Read your emails
Compose new emails
Add new emails meant for a different email address into your inbox
Send emails for you
Delete your email
Create, change or delete your email labels
Get notified when certain kinds of emails appear in your Gmail inbox, like a travel confirmation

I have 9 Gmail accounts and really don't want to have to delete and recreate them all. Is there a REASON for this, or a good fix?
 
Do you have any sync issues? Look in the Sync issues folder in the Folder navigation pane.

Use Ctrl+6 to open the Folder list pane if the buttons are on the bottom. If your Outlook navigation buttons are in a vertical bar on the left, click the bottom icon in the vertical bar and choose Folder. To switch back to the Mail pane, click the Mail button or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+1.

Errors will be in red text in the Sync Issues folder. If you have a few a day it's not an issue, but a large number could mean problems.

Some errors are meaningless. Things like message count not the same online and in count. This happens when you delete a message and is fixed on the next sync. Or a sync error when you close outlook. They can be ignored.

Right click on the folder and Empty it to clear the entries after reviewing the newest ones.

Should there be one central sync issues folder, or is there one for each account, within the account(s)?

I see NO Sync Issues folders.

Also, a question: I see recommendations on Microsoft's "Answers" site to "clear the cache" by deleting ALL files in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\microsoft\outlook. But won't that delete all my accounts? Aren't the .OST files my account info? What if I just delete the *.tmp files, there - might that help?

CORRECTION: I thought I was looking at the folder pane but I guess I was not. NOW, I see a multitude of sync issues, so I will review, clear, and see what happens (I have a lot to do, so the update is forthcoming).
 
I don't understand why ALL of my GMail accounts would suddenly need to be deleted and recreated, but I fear I'm heading that way.

In the first Gmail account checked, the sync log just says

I'm seeing this could be corruption in my profile or data file.

I would like to understand a few things.
1) I don't know why, but I have multiple profiles. How do I know which is current? I checked and a profile that I deliberately created is set to be the default. I'm guessing I created this profile when having previous issues with GMail accounts.
2) In the folder containing my data files, I have 2 files per email account - one containing with that deliberately-created profile name, and one just with the email account name. But BOTH files, for every account, have been accessed in the last 2 days. Does that mean that, without knowing it, I switched profiles, at some point?
3) If I delete profiles - do I lose everything and have to create all email accounts from scratch, then wait for everything to re-download (I use IMAP exclusively)?
