Help with custom form which is very similar to Tasks

I have created a basic form in a custom folder. This form is just another way of displaying information to me. We have tasks at work to perform and rather than me just using the Outlook tasks to display the list of things to do in a big block of text, I made text entry fields to cover what I needed. So far, I am happy with how it is turning out, but I have some issues
I need to add a text area to my custom note form, which can accept rich text/html and attachments, like the standard task view.
When I use the Note or message boxes, it will include my signature each time I open the file up, which is irritating. Also, for some reason, I can’t even edit the message box either.
My dream form would be similar to the New Task form.
Areas to set a due by date and reminder. My custom fields to enter specific data, area to paste attachments, drag messages and colour text and that is it.
But I cannot find a way of having a custom form with the option to add reminders etc. This seems locked the default tab on the Task form.
Any ideas?

There is a reg key you can set that doesn't add the signature to custom forms. it should work for you.

Are you using a task form or a different type of form? Use the field chooser to grab a field. It doesn't have to be a field of the same type supported by your form - it can be from one of the others listed in the Field chooser (although not all fields are useful in every item type).

I should have mentioned, this is a works computer. There is no chance of accessing the registry. But that is good to know for the future though.

I just wish I could customise the default tab of the New Task form. That has what I need, due date, reminder settings and the text box which accepts attachments.
Only thing I wanted to add was custom fields for single lines of text and I have to add that to another tab which is not ideal.

Is there no way of taking the set reminder and adding that to another tab on the form, so I can disable the default tab.

You can add the fields to the new tab but the calendar picker isn't supported. The field uses shortcuts and natural language - so you can type 2d, 2w, or day after tomorrow and it'll enter a date. Or you can enter the date in 8/10 format.

In the reminder field (if not using the default reminder time) you can use the same shortcuts and add a time - 2d 10am, tomorrow 12pm, 8/10 10a. (the m in am, pm is optional - i usually use it just out of habit)

oh, and to disable the main tab, select it then click Page and deselect display this page.

Thanks for the information.
The biggest challenge I have is getting the message window to work without a signature and editable.
Do you know how I can do this?

The registry key in http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/email/signatures-on-custom-forms-templates/ will fix the signature issue - you may need to restart outlook after setting it.

The Notes field should be editable - if page 1 (Task) is not hidden, you'll get a message about 2 notes fields being visible.
