For some time now I have received emails sent to my wife's gmail account in my account. I have been unable to find out why or to stop it. As a workaround I have tried setting up rules to re-direct my wife's emails to her account but with no success. I cannot remember just when this started but I suspect it was after an upgrade of Office from 2013 to 2016.
 
Do you get copies of all of her mail or just some? Is it possible her gmail account is configured to forward to your account? If you log into web access, are the messages in the mailbox online?
