Move archive file to new hard drive and still be ablse to access it

Can i move my archive file to an external hard deive and still be able to access it, without having to imort and exort it?
 
Ifyou need to access the contents of the archive, you do not want to import/export it - just open it using File, Open, Outlook Data file.






Yes, you can keep the pst on a portable drive, just make sure you disconnect it from Outlook (right click, close) before removing the drive. Otherwise you might end up with a corrupted pst.
