Hello:

I have several outlook accounts configured with GoDaddy (POP3).

Some of the PC's (XP) use Outlook 2007 and some Outlook 2010.

All of the passwords have to be changed.

I already changed my account password and was only asked once to provide the new password. I checked the "Remember my password" check box as well. Never being asked again.

I changed the password for another employee's account which is using Outlook 2010 but it keeps randomly (sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 40 minutes, etc.) asking for the password even when I click on the "Remember my password" checkbox.

Anyone knows why isn't the password being stored?

Thanks

No she doesn't.

And thanks for the link. I just found it and was going to start the recommended solutions.

Ok I am going to try Method 1: Create a new Outlook profile or a new Outlook Express identity.

This is happening in several computers includying mine (it took 2 days for the password prompt dialog to appear). Maybe most if not all of them have corrupted profiles.

Is there any danger of losing outlook information (contacts, calendars, etc.) when doing Method 1?

I already tried Method 2 and it made no difference.

Thanks

Method one: no data is lost, at least in outlook - you need ot point the new profile to the old pst. In OE i think its still around too, its just harder to recover it.

No smartphones or other mail clients checking mail? It seems that Outlook is touchy about the mailbox lock triggered when another clients checks mail.

I tried method one and outlook did a mess on my original outlook.pst file.

When I pointed the new profile to the old .pst outlook started retrieving messages from the server and marked a lot of the inbox emails as unread and it duplicated a lot of them.

I had to manually delete the duplicated ones and marked as read the ones it marked as unread.

Any idea why this happened?

No smartphones or other mail clients are used by the way.

Thanks
