Since Installing a new Exchange Server 2010 I have noticed an issue that comes up on workstations that have Office 2010 and either Windows XP or Windows 7 32-bit. We have a shared contacts folder (Good News Contacts) that is in the Public Folders. The shared contacts folder has been added to the user's Favorites. And most of the time that results in the folder then showing up under "Other Contacts" when in contacts view. However, at times the folder "disappears" from other contacts, and going back into the Public Folders and re-adding it to favorites does NOT result in it appearing back in Other Contacts. Once this happens, the folder seems to come and go from Other Contacts, and there seems to be no ryhm or reason to it.
I have posted this issue in other forums and to date have received no helpful information other than people telling me to do all the things I have already mentioned above. ANY useful suggestions will be greatly apprecaited. Thank you.
