Unchecking my calendar and leaving shared one visible

Outlook 2010 32 bit

I use a shared calendar (my wife's). However, when I open outlook, my own calendar is always checked as the visible calender.

sometimes it is both, sometimes just mine - never just the shared one.

Hiding my calendar does not help - in fact it does not seem to do anything.

does anyone know how to make my unchecking the calendar persistent -- in VBA or not.

(or do you have a better idea as to how a couple can share one calender)
 
Outlook usually uses the last visible calendar, but if the shared calendar loads slow or the calendar is the start up folder, it may show your calendar.

This macro will select the desired calendars - most people use it to select multiple calendars, but it will work for one calendar too. :)
