Searching Outllook 2010 shared contacts from Outlook 2007

I have a user who has Outlook 2010 and shares his contacts with users that have Outlook 2007. The users can access the contacts folder, but when they try searching the shared contacts using instant search or advanced find the search keeps on going and no results appear. Is that a compatibility issue with Outlook 2007, since a user who couldn't search the shared contacts when she was using Outlook 2007 can now search with Outlook 2010? Thanks in advance for feedback :)

Edit: users can search the shared mail and calendar. The issue is only with shared contacts.
 
I have service pack 3 and the latest updates installed and cached exchange mode is enabled.
 
The cache shared setting is enabled? cache-shared.png
 
Yes it is as I said. And as I've mentioned she can search everything but the contacts. Most likely I will install office 2010 tomorrow..
