Changing Start Date Without Changing Due Date in Tasks

Does anyone know how to reprogram Outlook allow me to change the start date without altering the due date in a task? It is too time-consuming to switch the start date to "None" and then pick a new start date every time I want to change the start date. In addition, the risk of changing the due date could be disastrous for me. I am running Outlook 2010.

Also, is anyone aware of a programmer who could help me with this issue?
 
You can't reprogram Outlook.

Are you using recurring tasks? If not, you could use VBA to pick up the end date then add it back once you change the start. Recurring tasks (and appointments) can be a problem because changing the start or end dates regenerates the item and dates, which can erase notes.
