outlook 2007 - there is no email program associated ...

Actions taken to resolve but without success to date as message "there is no email program associated to perform requested action.....

Outlook has worked and then this message appeared. I cannot now send or received emails or sycronise with my smart phone diary etc

1. Have set as default via default program in control panel

2. Uninstalled MS office 2007 and reinstalled

Do I need to create a new outlook profile and if so how? I have Win 7 64 bit.

Any advise please?
 
What are you doing when you get the error?

Try a new profile but keep the old one so you can go back to it if the new one doesn't work. If you use multiple email accounts, you only need one in the new profile to test.

Very useful. Espcically the video.

Although I did not finally have to set up a new profile I did update MS Office with service pack 3 plus after reinstall and also repaired in email accounts box and this seemed to resolve the issues. Thank you for your response and help.
