I am running Outlook 2007 on a Windows 7 machine. When I try to open an email, Outlook crashes. However, if I choose Reply or Forward without opening the email, it works fine. This is how I am able to read email right now. Also, if I choose New email, it opens a new message and works fine.
I have deleted the following files to no avail as the problem persists, even when I open Outlook in safe mode:
I have ran scanpst and it does repairs errors found. Then I ran it again until there were no errors.
So then I opened Outlook 2007 and, once again, I can do everything except open an email - when I do that, it crashes. Then the pst file once again has errors which I can, again, repair with scanpst.
It seems something within Outlook itself creates pst errors when I try to open an email.
I have deleted the following files in case they might have been corrupted.
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\outcmd.dat
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Forms\formcache.dat
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\views.dat
Here are the problem details from the error message

Any thoughts on why this is happening or how to stop it? No changes to the computer have taken place. I can still reply, fwd, or create a new email without problem - just cannot open one from within Outlook 2007.
