pst repeatedly needing repair

Our Outlook 2003 (on Vista) every few days starts locking up or taking very long for tasks like opening a Reply window. I find that if I run scanpst it finds errors and cleans them, it works for a few days. Then it starts again. Any suggestions for a fix? Thanks
 
Thanks Diane, I didn't know that about Scanpst. I decided to just restore the computer using a Ghost image. So the problem is fixed, at least for now. Thanks
