Our office is having an issue where we are all sharing an additional mailbox with our personal corporate E-mails being our main accounts. The admin for the shared email address has changed the categories for that account. Everyone seems to have those categories/colors as being shown save one.

We have "Upgraded the color categories" within the data file properties to no avail. We have tried removing that additional account, rebooting, & then adding it back to no avail.

I'm sure this is a simple solution but so far it has evaded us.

We have checked that and yes it does appear that all users have the same permissions.
 
Are you caching shared mailboxes ? Try deleting the ost file and let outlook rebuild it.

Rebuilding the ost file does not appear to have done anything to help with having the same shared master category list...thanks for the help.

What I have found is that if I manually create a master category list that matches in name/description what everyone else is using then I can actually assign whatever color I want so that whenever someone else categorizes an email it will at least show up as flagged/categorized. This is kind of a work around to try and keep up some kind of productivity. The problem though is that if the master category list everyone else is using is ever changed this particular list will now not match again...
