Auto Complete incorrect after changing an email address

1. Someone in myoutlook address book changed their email addy.

2. I changed theaddy and saved it. I double checked by reopening the addy – all is new.

3. I sent them anemail using the auto complete after putting in the first letter under “to:”.

4. I noticed thatit was going to the old addy.

5. When onechanges the addy, it does not get changed in the auto complete. The old addystays.

6. One has todelete the auto complete listing for the individual or the whole listing andstart over.

7. I checked thiswith several other changes over time, same thing.

8. Bug or ':(feature:mad:'?

How do you clear the history?




Also, what is required to get OL 2013 to "know" the email addresses in your Contacts for the auto-complete?
 
File, Options, Mail - near the bottom is a button to empty the autocomplete list.

You can populate the list with addresses in your address book by creating a new message, add everyone to it then save it to drafts then delete it. If it only sticks until you reboot, address the message, disconnect from the internet and click send, then delete it from the outbox.
