Exchange 2003 how to stop accepting EHLO and AUTH commands

Spammers are breaking a clients Exchange 2003 server by flooding it with EHLO/AUTH commands which are rejected but eventually locks the SMTP service and I had to write them a batch file to kill inetinfo.exe (the standard iisreset command would hang). The log files always show EHLO so can I tell Exchange to block that command? I've already enabled the 'send HELO instead of EHLO' option but need a 'only receive HELO not EHLO' tickbox :-)
