You should have categories for the calendar EXCEPT in IMAP data files.

Add a pst to the profile and set it as default - the categories will work. More info: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/2013/imap-accounts-outlook-2013/ If it doesn't say 'this computer only' go to File, Account Settings, Email tab - the type of account is to the right of the default account name.
