Hello,
I have an issue which bother me for so long and finally decided to ask for help.
I work for MSP and we provide hosted exchange services to SMB clients. The scenario is:
- Exchange 2013 CU12
- Outlook 2010 and 2013
- Code Two software
Basically one of our clients is relying heavily on a shared calendar "X" where all attorneys meeting/appointments are. The appointments/meetings replicate to their respective personal calendars. From what I know when I started troubleshooting this issue there is a public folder where the actual calendar is with all company meetings/appointments. That public folder syncs to an user mailbox "Y"calendar via software called CodeTwoSync (I'm sure some of you are familiar with it). Everything seems syncing just fine between both calendars. All users outlooks have calendar Y and see everything. They also have that calendar on their phones. Users also used have sync issues (maybe because of the fact users have iPhones) and couldn't sync calendar Y. However now everything seems to be fine. They also have editor permissions so they can change meetings/appointments if need to.
Now the current issues we have are:
- on both Outlook clients and phones. If an attendee makes change in a meeting/appointment, for example changes the time of the item or the subject, the change will not replicate on the personal calendar of the other people who are part of that meeting. Change is only visible in the calendar of the user who does the change.
If however, the initiator of the meeting makes the change it replicates in calendar Y and all users personal calendars.
- user opens reoccurring meeting or one-time appointment just to take a look at it. She/he doesn't make any changes. When closing the item the user gets prompted whether she/he wants to save the changes. Why? I couldn't find answer on this one.
Please help and let me know if I need to provide more information.
