All,

I've linked the webcal feed provided by Followupthen to my Outlook client and, initially, I received this message during the sync: "...contains a property that references an undeclared time zone...." That message has now ceased, but all of my calendar items are off by an hour (+1).

I was able to dig up this post by Diane Poremsky:

How do I identify the TZ naming convention employed by Followupthen to then introduce a new registry key?

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jake

Open the ics in notepad and see how it has the time zone named.

Hi, Diane, thank you sooooo much for taking the time to respond as I really appreciate it. I don't have an ics file, just a web link. I wish I had captured the Outlook sync error message in its entirety. Is there another way to retrieve the naming convention? Thank you!!!!!!

I just sent a message to Followupthen to request their naming convention for -5 and -4.

You should be able to open it in a browser and download it. Or, if you can share the link, i can check it.

Hey, good evening! I used this validator tool, iCalendar Validator, and the TZ naming convention is America/New_York. I have the Registry Editor open at this directory, Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Time Zones\US Eastern Standard Time.

Can you walk me through introducing the new registry key? Thank you so much, Diane. You're the best!!!

If read the instructions correctly (it's been a long since I did this) - you export the Eastern standard Key then change the name to America/New York and import it.
