i keep getting this error when i try to open icloud:
C:\PROGRA~2\COMMON~1\Apple\INTERN~1\APLZOD.dll

and my me.com account keeps asking for the password.

I found this but not sure how to edit the registry.

Will it also fix the problem where my email keeps asking for the password?

You don't need to edit the registry - use the registry key linked at the bottom of the page. Right click and download the file then double click to run it - you'll need to Ok 3 or 4 dialogs. The file should have the .reg extension, if your browser (firefox and possibly others) will save it with a .txt extension, you'll need to change it to .reg.

The password problem is different. If you add an iCloud account to a 3rd party utility (such as Outlook), you need to enable 2 factor auth and use an app password when you sign in using Outlook. (Apple's implememation is a PITA frankly, especially if you have multiple apple devices or share your account with family members.)
