My partner and I have a joint (family) Office 365 account. We are able to see each other's calendars, but we cannot add appointments to them. What do we need to do so that we can add (copy) appointments from one calendar to the other. We are already able to copy appointments from the other calendar to ours, but not the other way around.

Can you add events to each others calendars in outlook web access?

In Outlook desktop, you need the newest version of outlook and need to enabled the option for the new calendar sharing in File, Account Settings, open the account settings dialog. Double click on the account and click More Settings - its on the advanced tab.
 
The other person can add appointments to my calendar on the web, but I cannot to theirs.

As far as I know, we have the latest version.

Shall I try the steps you suggest?
