Favorites don't update

Outlook 2016 64 bit

Office 365 Exchange
Office 365, local Outlook: have about 22 "favorites" for 2 different Office 365 accounts that are in my local profile.

Some of the favorites only show up in the favorite lists sometimes. Not a matter of waiting. Sometimes "updating" makes them display. But usually I have to remove them and add them back to favorites. Wouldn't be a big deal, but I made them favoriets because I have rules that move mail to them. If I don't see the folders in Favorites, i'll overlook the mail.

is this simply because my ost is large? faster local process seems to help, but not completely.

maybe there's a way to program force an update every hour or so?
 
How big is your ost? I don't think it will make a difference though. Are both accounts using cached mode?

If you right click on a folder and choose Open in a new window, does the new window have the favorites?
