Not enough room in Favorites

Is there any way to increase the height of the Favorites section in the navigation pane? I don't really need much space for the folder list at the bottom and would be perfectly happy to occasionally scroll through that. But favorites are things I want to recognize at a glance and between my inbox, trash, and junk folders, I can't make the Favorites tall enough to avoid scrolling. This is actually worse in Outlook 2016 than in 2013. Can we make this taller or reduce the space between entries?
