Files in "Attach File" popup menu no longer alphabetical

Somewhere along the line (perhaps an automatic update?) the order in which

files are listed in the popup menu for attaching a file has changed in

Outlook. It has always been alphabetical, just as a common Explorer listing

of files in a folder would be. But now it comes up in what appears to be

random order.

Anyone have a clue how or why this changed? Is there a way to change it

back to the way it was?

Did you click one of the headers to change the sort order?

I was having the same problem. I think I found the solution though. When you

have the dialog box open, change it to arrange by Name and then hold Ctrl

while you hit the Cancel button.

I know this is very old, but I came across it when I ran into the same problem. The fix that worked for me, is instead of choosing Arrange By, right click and choose Sort By. All fixed.
