Outlook 2010 Ribbon - Creating Links To Websites or EXE Files

In Outlook 2010, is it possible to create a new item with a link to a website or an EXE file?

You can create a hyperlink to a file on a webserver in the same manner you would for html links in email. You can either type it in like: https://forums.slipstick.com or use the Insert hyperlink button and hyperlink words to the page or file like this: Hyperlink

Thank you. I may be miss-understanding or ask my question incorrectly. In the "Customize the Ribbon" dialog, how do I create a new blank command that allows me to enter a link so the command appears in the ribbon?

I missed the ribbon part, sorry.




Outlook 2010 doesn't do hyperlinks - you can use a macro or the shortcut bar.




You'll get a security dialog either way - this will take care of that.

DWORD: DisableHyperlinkWarning


Enter 1 as the Value data to disable the warning




may also need to disable the open or save dialog -
