outlook has stopped receiving my emails

Everything has been fine but suddenly outlook 7 has stopped receiving emails from all accounts. My accounts are with talk talk and when i log in directly to their mail I can receive emails as normal but outlook will not. i get an error message - timed out cannot connect to incoming server - I think that was it.
 
How long has it been going on? It could be just a transient error and will clear up on its own, but if its longer than 24 hours, its either something on your side or theirs.




Can you send mail?


Did you install updates - not only for windows and outlook, but also for your security software?
