Two occurrences of "Appoint name" cannot occur on the same day

Hi all,

I encountered this problem with some users:

When try to modify an appt, by selecting "open this occurrence" we get the msg

"Two occurrences of "Appointment name" cannot occur on the same day", but if we select "open the series' we don't get the msg but it changes the whole series we just want to modify one occurrence at a time and not the whole series.

any help please would be greatly appreciate it.

What modification are you doing? That message is used when you try to move an occurrence to the same day as another occurrence.

I jut trying to modify any thing in the event box e.g subject,location etc. basically I can't do any modification at all.

And no, there is no other occurrence for the same time, there are other occurrences but for different time on the same day though.
