Calendar is there...but it isn't....

While using a third-party app used to sync Outlook between two computers, something went wrong and I now have the following situation:




Calendar: My Calendars in Navigation Pane shows that there are two calendars. One has appointments, etc., the other is blank. When I right-click on the empty one, Delete Calendar is grayed out. I can right-click on the populated one and it will allow me to delete it (but I don't want to).




Tasks: very similar situation. Multiple instances in the Navigation Pane, the empty ones don't give me an option of how to delete them




Contacts: this is the worst. Again, the empty instance cannot be deleted. But when composing an email, I can't pull up the 'real' Contacts to access addresses.




Any idea what the heck is going on? Or at least how to undo it?
 
How many pst files are in your profile? I'm guessing one and the sync process either forced the new folders to be default or it moved the items from the default folder to the new folders.

If you right click on the contacts that is not empty and choose Properties then Outlook Address Book, can you enable it as an address book? If it's grayed out, I recommend closing Outlook and going to Control panel, Mail and creating a new profile. But you could move or drag the items to the new folders. Use a list view, select all and use the Move to folder command.

I don't know. I don't know where to look to find this out.

Yes. I have done this. I can now at least access the contacts to compose emails. And I like your idea of dragging and dropping.




I still can't delete the empty Calendar, empty Contacts, and other empty things, but as long as I can access my info, I can get used to that.
