Outlook 2007 Calendar no longer connects to Windows Live server for calendar only. E-mail synch's just fine and server status displays error next to CALENDAR. Calendar used to sync without problem. Can sync same calendar account on other computers with office 2007 suite. I have removed and reinstalled both outlook connector and Microsoft office suite several times in effort to fix problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this synchronization problem

There are multiple *.ost files for each of the MAPI mailboxes.

Would you delete all of them?

Shouldn't they be pst files since I am using Outlook connector not Outlook Exchange?

9:38:34 Synchronizing local changes in folder 'Junk E-mail'

9:38:34 1 item(s) changed read-state in online folder

9:38:35 Network operation failed

Log into the account online and empty the junk mail folder and empty the local junk folder. See if that ends the error.

I think this next one is referring to the calendar folder, but I could be wrong. Did you create any new folders in Outlook right before the errors started?

normally, yes, there should only be one but you can have multiples for a number of reasons - from you deleted and re-added an account to something happened and outlook decided you needed a new one. You can delete all of the older ones - check the last modified date. In most cases, the current one has a higher number, but check the dates to be sure.

The outlook connector currently uses ost files, not pst, since they are offline files.

There are many sync error folders. It appears that one is created each time a send/receive is done.

Do you know the best recommended method to fix this synchronization issue?

At the moment, no, i don't have any ideas. Is there a 4 digit error code in any of the sync messages?

5102 has a few meanings, the most common is that there is a large file (over 3 - 4 MB) that is not syncing. While the Hotmail family can handle larger files, the connector has a problem syncing them. Move larger messages to a local pst file or Shift+Delete from the Hotmail folders.
