I'm currently having an issue with outlook 2010 (exchange 2003) where by if i type a Japanese Language and sent out to an external domain, in between the email message, the Japanese language will have half of the email convert to Chinese language. But when trying to sent to an internal receiver, the issue did not persist.

Troubleshooting done :

-Exchange server patches are up to date with SP2 installed

-Installed Language Pack.

-International option is change to UTF-8 encoding

-New profile created

i have run out of idea what could possibly be the issue and i certainly hope someone has the answer for this issue.

it sounds like a Unicode issue - for whatever reason, everything changes to Chinese when something is wrong with the encoding or fonts.

What antivirus are you using? I know some scanners will corrupt parts of messages and since you say half is messed up, it sounds like a security scanner is touching it.

Are all messages affected or just some? The problem could be on the recipients side.
 
any users that are currently running on outlook 2010 has this issue.

Anti virus - Norton SEP 2012

Recipient issue - don't think so...most issue happen when they sent email to any external domain.
 
hmm... endpoint. I know it is responsible for a number of problems but i don't recall if this is one of them. Can you repro this at will? If so turn off SEP and see if the problem is fixed on new messages. Existing messages will probably remain 'broken'.
