Multiple Accounts Issue Receiving Emails in 2016

I recently changed from Outlook 2010 to 2016, and both accounts (business and personal) that I use Outlook for more or less automatically migrated over.

However, now, unlike previously, I only receive e-mails in the account whose Inbox is open on the screen. When I move to the other Inbox, all e-mails that have come in since I was last at that account, flood in.

I like to know when e-mails arrive, and don't like having to constantly open up the Inbox page to learn if I have anything in there.

Any ideas?
