Removing an Exchange Server account, retaining POP accounts

I have left the company that hosts the exchange server set up as my primary Outlook 2010 account. Now, Outlook won't let me send messages (although I can still receive them) from my POP accounts. Error message says: outlook_error_msg.JPG. How can I make one of my POP accounts the primary account allowing me to send mail, while not deleting all of my inbox and sent files from the Exchange account? Thank you for your help.
