setting Default area code in Contacts

I've checked Contacts/options but I don't see an option to change the default area code that is entered when a local number is entered without an area code. Where is that option set?

Good grief;Phone/modem:confused: Who would have guessed??? Thanks for solving that mystery. It's been like the blinking 00:00 on a DVD :rolleyes:

How can i have that default are code automatically added/formatted when typing a 7-digit phone number into a Contact? (the way 2010 worked)
