In 2012, we are using Exchange 2003 + Outlook 2003 in Win XP.
At the end of 2012, we upgrade our Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010.
In 2013, we start migrate the mailbox to Exchange Online and the users start using to Outlook 2010 from Win 7. Outlook is connecting Exchange Online using Online Mode.
The problem is, at a certain date in 2013, we found some strange categories (example, abc-plan) in Shared Calendar in Outlook 2010. As the categories naming method is related to one user, we check with the user if she had created those categories.
The user said she had done nothing to the categories setting.
Indeed, in her personal mailbox, the outlook 2010 categories is default setting, with some color categories only.
As we are searching on this issue in web, the user asked us to help her setup Outlook 2011 in her Macbook air.
After installation of Outlook 2011 in Mac, we found those strange categories in Shared Calendar appear in her Outlook 2011 personal categories. Also, in Outlook 2011, there are two identical calendar show up with lots of strange categories. These strange categories is not found in Outlook 2010.
Those strange categories are not default categories from Mac.
We checked again in Office 365 OWA and the categories shown is the same as in Outlook 2010.
We are now very frustrated as the categories is not seen in Outlook 2010 but appear in Outlook 2011.
Had anyone met these similar issue before? Why does the outlook behavour are so different from different version?
Please help...
