We use the Notes field to hold info on data holds. I'd like to be able search the notes field via powershell. I also like to update the notes field with powershell. Any help would be great.

Try something like this -
Search-Mailbox –identity maryc –SearchQuery 'body:keyword AND kind:meetings' -EstimateResultOnly

(try using estimateresultonly instead of delete)

These are the keywords to use with kind:
Contacts kind:contacts
E-mail kind:email
Instant Messenger conversations kind:im
Meetings kind:meetings
Tasks kind:tasks
Notes kind:notes

Thanks for the info. Sorry it took so long to see this, never got an email. I tried the search-mailbox command and got The term 'Search-Mailbox' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function.

We have Outlook 2010, Exchange 2007. Thanks again.
