quick quesiton about outlook search

Outlook 2013 64 bit
Email Account

my issue is on outlook 2010 when i goto to search for something i have the sort order ascending and in the inbox i have it as descending. the issue in 2013 is it will keep ascending for both the inbox and when I am searching even after changing the view. please someone help me out i have been searching all over and I really don't want to revert back to outlook 2010

Thank you for the response, I am searching all folders but when i type in the search it always reverts back to the current folder. Even if i click all outlook items the next search I have to click it again. In outlook 2010 I didnt have this problem please let me know if you can recommend anything. Thanks
 
Go to File, Options, Search - what are your settings?
